The murder of a Punjabi mother forces Detective Harj Sidhu to take a hard look into his own community

A missing pregnant woman turns up dead on the shores of the Delta Causeway after attending a yoga class. Her abandoned car is located nowhere near her body or the class. Delta Police Detective Harj Sidhu is brought in to investigate and forced to delve into his own Punjabi community to try and understand who killed the beloved young mother and elementary school teacher — and why.

About the detective
Superintendent Harj Sidhu has been with the Delta Police Department since 1993. He has been awarded the Governor General's Police Exemplary Service Medal as well as several Police Board Commendations, including one for the Panghali homicide investigation. He is currently the superintendent for the Community Policing Bureau, where he is in charge of all uniform operations.
