Unruly passenger forces L.A.-Moscow flight to land in Iqaluit

A flight from Los Angeles to Moscow landed at the Iqaluit airport overnight due to an unruly passenger.
Iqaluit RCMP say they arrested Sisak Khudaverdyan, 36, of Armenia after Aeroflot Flight 107 landed around 1 a.m, ET.
He's been charged with endangering the safety of aircraft and mischief and causing a disturbance. He's also facing a charge of endangering passengers under the Aeronautics Act.
Police were unable to give details of what exactly caused the charges. They say that's still under investigation.
No injuries were reported on board the flight.
Khudaverdyan is being held on remand in Iqaluit until his show cause hearing on Monday.
The flight continued on its way, leaving Iqaluit at around 3:30 a.m. ET, and has since landed in Moscow.
