No criminal charges will be laid after reports that Gatineau Olympiques players were involved in a late-night "public sex act" at a Boston Pizza in Hull in February, Gatineau police said Thursday.
The Gatineau Olympiques junior hockey team announced it was launching an internal investigation after media reports that several players were involved in a sexual incident involving an intoxicated woman in the washroom of the restaurant on Boulevard des Grives on February 20.
The Quebec Major Junior Hockey League said at the time that it was working with police and that it takes the allegation "seriously."
This is the second police investigation involving Olympiques players this year that was closed with no charges.
Quebec City investigated a January 2014 case of alleged sexual assault involving four of the team players. The league announced in March 2015 that the investigation was closed.
