An ABBA-solute Disappointment: super group reunites only to sing obscure song
Thirty-four years ago ABBA, the famed Swedish super group, broke up. Which means that everyday for 34 years, ABBA fans have been holding out hope the band will finally get back together.
This week, for the first time since splitting up, the group sang together, prompting rumours that the group might finally reunite. And then they dashed that hope into a million little pieces, by denying they have plans to get back together.
This disappointed ABBA fans, but not as much as the group's choice of song. ABBA broke its three-decade plus silence with the song "Me And I"--an obscure track even die-hard fans were hard-pressed to recognize.
This prompted Because News panelists--Eric Peterson, Candy Palmater and Tom Howell--to try their passive-aggressive hardest in our hashtag game #WreckanABBAsong. The idea is to change the title of an ABBA hit in a way that makes it an instant flop. For instance:
- Thank You For the Mucous
- Monkey Monkey Monkey
- Diarhhea, Here We Go Again!
Dancing Bream.' It's a song about fishing.- Tom Howell

Also this week, our panel chews the fat about former Guns N' Roses front man, Axl Rose. Rose sent the equivalent of a cease-and-desist order to Google, demanding it take down a picture of him, which has become known as the "Fat Axl" meme.
