Glass ceiling, meet Hillary

You’ve come a long way, maybe.

This week Hillary Clinton became the first woman in U.S. history to be nominated head of a major political party. It is a huge step toward the country electing its first female president.

As expected, shortly after winning the nomination, President Obama officially endorsed Clinton. Also as expected, shortly after that, Donald Trump tweeted something incredibly rude: "Obama just endorsed Crooked Hillary," he wrote, "He wants four more years of Obama--but nobody else does."

Clinton's response was short, though not sweet. "Delete your account." she replied.

Because News panellists Eric Peterson, Candy Palmater and Tom Howell discussed Clinton's historical win with host, Gavin Crawford.

I personally think it's great this is happening hot on the heels of American women winning the vote--a scant 96 years ago.- Gavin Crawford

Living up to the adage that all attention is good attention--even bad attention, Donald Trump accused U.S. District Judge, Gonzalo Curiel of bias against him because of Curiel's Mexican heritage. Curiel, who was born in East Chicago, Indiana, didn't comment on the accusation.

But Paul Ryan, the U.S. Speaker of the House and the highest ranked Republican, chastised Trump for making a "textbook racist comment." And then immediately suggested Trump was still a better candidate than Clinton.

Which, in our books, is a textbook hypocritical comment.
